–Tim Robinson

Captain Kirk with a Fox River walleye

The Guarantee:
We will put fish in the boat! If no fish are put in the boat, you will pay no more for your trip than the retainer. You’ll still have a great time out on the water and only pay the retainer fee of $95. The balance due will not be due. Fishing can be tricky and sometimes the fish win or the weather just doesn’t cooperate. If that’s the case you will not have to spend additional money to not catch fish.

Captain Kirk guides only one or two people at a time. Sorry, he will not take three or more people in the boat.

The above rates are for the Winnebago System and for bodies of water that Dan considers local. Captain Kirk spends most of his time on the Fox River in Spring. He may do some midweek guide trips on the Wolf River as well, and then he’ll transition to Lake Winnebago late spring through October. If the weather cooperates Dan will get back on the Fox River in November.

Fish Cleaning
$3 per fish. $10 minimum fee.
Sorry for the additional fee. The lakes and rivers in the area do not have fish cleaning stations. Captain Kirk must bring filet knives, a cleaning table, a garbage bucket, garbage bags, fresh water, and storage bags. Plus you’re paying for his expertise, his TIME, and his skills. Watch and learn and ask questions. Please bring a cooler & ice to keep your fish fresh if you choose to keep fish.

Reservations:
Please call or text Captain Dan Kirk at 920-722-1881 or email: CaptainKirk@FishingGuideWisconsin.com to check if your date is available. Captain Kirk will only take one or two people out at a time on the water. Sorry, he’s not available for parties greater than 2.

Retainers:
$95 non-refundable down payment that is used to hold your date. Once paid, it will be subtracted from your daily rate to create your balance due.

Example: Full Day on a Thursday; $395 – $95 retainer = Balance due of $300 after trip.

Due to my crazy schedule, the nature of this business, and the average time it takes to book dates, a non-refundable retainer is due at the time of booking. You will receive a PayPal statement for the retainer fee which can be paid with PayPal or your credit or debit card online. Your balance due may be paid in cash or check only. A $35 fee will be applied to any returned checks.

Balance Due:
Please have cash or check ready to pay off the balance due upon completion of your trip.

Cancellations:
Cancellations are not valid unless confirmed by Fishing With Captain Kirk LLC by direct phone conversation. (Sorry, no emails or voice messages). All cancellations made within 48 hours of your trip’s start time and all “NO SHOWS” will be charged the remaining balance.
(Your retainer will not be refunded.)

Rescheduling:
Trips run rain or shine. However, trips will be rescheduled if water conditions are dangerous or if weather conditions will make the day not fun. (high winds, temps below 36F, lightning, flood levels, ice, etc.) This determination is made by Fishing With Captain Kirk LLC.

Tips:
Did you have a great time? More fun than you expected? Have a great day of catching? Get the biggest fish of your life? Learn a lot about fishing? Then you might want to consider tipping your guide. Tipping is NOT required or expected. How much should you tip if your trip was deserving of a tip? Good question. It’s really up to you. Tips have ranged from $20-$200+ for a single day of guiding. People from Kansas and Wyoming are the best tippers. Go ahead, set a new record.

“I have fished with Dan and can tell you that this guy knows how to catch fish! Knowledge comes from experience and Dan has a ton of it. His knowledge of how to find fish is only exceeded by his passion to share his experience with others! When I ask someone if they fish, usually I get a muted answer followed by stories of never catching fish. While it’s always possible to get skunked, Dan tips the odds in your favor. We have been out fishing where we score 50+ fish between us. Now that’s fishing! But what I love most about fishing with Dan is that he gets so excited when you land a fish. Genuinely excited for you!

One time we were fishing on the Wolf River and I hooked up a bass. I get it in and Dan notices there is a little walleye just barely sticking out of its throat! I said, ‘Should we pull it out?’ and Dan said, ‘NO! We have to weigh it first!!!!’

I have dozens of fishing stories with Dan and now you can too!”
